- Use double-sided carpet tape (available from hardware stores) to secure the folded border permanently in position.
- While some canvases are sold pre-primed, some are sold raw. If you buy yours raw, give it a coat of white acrylic primer.
- Pencil your geometric design onto the canvas, using a set square measure and straightedge to keep it symmetrical.
- Painting: Use a number zero artist’s brush to fill in the corners.
- Use masking tape to achieve an accurate, straight side stripe.
- Use brown paper to protect the finished areas as you work.
