Carpet often adds warmth to a room. Walking into a room with carpet flooring will give you a cozy, comfortable, as well as welcomed feel. However, it often gets dirty due to people wearing their shoes in the house, spilling drinks, dropping food, etc. To keep your flooring looking their best, you have to take care of them.

Everyone enjoys a fresh cup of warm tea in the morning, afternoon, or evening. In hurry, tea spills on the floor, then what to do? Tea stain on carpet is difficult to remove, as tea is basically a dye. Essentially, the darker the tea, the more difficult to remove tea stains from carpet. Therefore, you need to remove tea stains as soon as possible.
Depending on what is available to you at that particular time, use one of the following solutions to remove tea stains from carpet:
- Spill the small amount of dish soap over the tea stain. Add some water over it to form the foam. Scrub the soap using cleaning sponge and water along with the tea stain. Use a towel to wipe away all the soapy solution from the carpet. Allow the carpet to dry.

- Pour the club soda on the carpet to remove tea stain. Continuously adding more club soda and more blotting. If the stain isn’t fading fast, pour on a bit of 3% hydrogen peroxide and let it stay about 10 to15 minutes. Then blot and rinse with either more club soda or some water.
- Spray some foam shaving cream on the stained area and gently rub it into the carpet. Use cold water to rinse the tea stain, and then dab the area dry with a cloth. Repeat this process until the tea stain on carpet is removed.
- Grab some paper towels and blot up as much of the tea as possible. Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda over the tea stain. Allow it to sit for 20 to 25 minutes. Then make a solution with equal amounts of water and vinegar. Pour the liquid over the baking soda. Rub the towel over the stain until it is completely removed. Allow the carpet to dry or use a vacuum cleaner. It will completely remove tea stains from carpet.
Removing tea stains is not that difficult task unless the stain is too deep on a carpet that is too delicate. Any of the above solutions should work fine. No matter which method you use to remove tea stains from carpet, the faster you clean it up, the better.
